If you know me in real life, you probably noticed that I use aliases for my blog posts, or that I have a funny name on my blog's homepage instead of my real name. For those of you wondering why this is, it is so that I can protect my anonymity, and hopefully cut down on trolls. I will also be writing about people I care about in this blog, and wish to maintain their privacy as well. I can hear you all groaning now, for those of you who don't know my real name, or may wish to know my friends and family's names to feel more connected to me as a creator, but think of it this way, in every superhero book or movie that I've consumed the superhero, who has the secret sanctum, also has an identity that they present to the public, and one which they are known by in their home environment. This is to ensure their safety and the safety of those that they love. My use of aliases strives to achieve the same purpose. Please respect my, and my loved ones right to privacy. I also encourage you to think of the aliases as part of the fun, and an integral part of fulfilling the purposes and goals outlined on the goals and purposes page. I've also tried to come where I can, assign aliases with loved ones direct consent. When direct consent has not been given, I may use a general category such as "a friend of mine, or my household staff." I hope this has been a useful informational section for my readers in explaining this decision.
