Sanctum signals:

Everyone needs help now and again, and sometimes we don't always have access to a professional. Sometimes, we may be dealing with medical or other trauma that makes it hard for us to deal with corporate organizations, and sometimes we are looking for a service that approaches things more like a brainstorming session to empower us to make our own choices.

I am a big believer in peer support. On this page you will find links to specific help lines and other resources you can use to get additional support when needed.

It should be noted that most hotlines in the US are mandated reporters and will use police intervention if they feel that it is necessary. This is especially true in the case of suicide. However, there are a few non-active rescue hotlines. I will include both active and non-active rescue hotlines. That way you can make the decision that is best for you. If you are unsure about whether a hotline is active rescue or not you are always within your right when calling to ask for that information.

Additionally,  the resources that are links to articles about a specific condition or disorder are ones that I've skimmed through and think look good. If you find that a link inactive, please feel free to let me know in the comments section. If you can provide the name of the resource or the link that way, I can know what kind of resource I need to look for, so that I can make sure all readers are getting accurate information to the best of my knowledge on the blog.

Also feel free to comment with any and all suggestions you might have. It should be noted that I am not commercially affiliated with any of the links listed here, although I do volunteer for some of the links occasionally.

Here's to getting the help you need and being able to make your own health choices.
